Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, achieving just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks his first title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after March of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one distinct events.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving strategy and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had caused commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the highest level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and perform positively, supported by an improved serving game.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first ATP Tour victory, took control to force a decider.
He defended four early break points in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the win with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
